Riyadh – Mubasher: Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Company (GGCI) has appointed Mohammed Abdullah Alghamdi as its Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), according to a bourse filing.

In accordance with the regulatory framework governing the insurance sector in Saudi Arabia, the appointment was subject to the oversight of the Insurance Authority (IA).

The company confirmed that it received a formal no-objection notice from the regulator on 20 May 2026. Consequently, this date serves as the official commencement of Alghamdi’s tenure in the delegated role of acting CEO.

The board members of GGCI finalized the appointment through a resolution by circulation on 18 April 2026.

From an academic perspective, Alghamdi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a major in Marketing, from King Abdulaziz University.

This educational background, combined with his practical experience in the Saudi financial landscape, positions him to oversee the company’s administrative and strategic functions during this interim period.
